Another Renault 'holding operation', to squeeze the last few sales from the basic design of the 8, the 10 had the long-nose body style of the 8-1100, but with the stretched (bored and stroked) five-bearing engine. In other words, rear engined, oversteer, plush seats but otherwise quite stark interiors. Statistics: 48bhp, 85mph and up to 40mpg, but with no memorable character. Another Renault effectively killed off by the 12 which followed.
