Original rear-engined type with rack and pinion steering, hydraulic brakes, all-independent suspension; three speeds only, rolltop convertibles rare. On 19-22bhp not really dangerous, unlike later developments. 747cc engine 1950, three-bar grille and bigger boot for '54, Ferlec clutch option (avoid) and revised dash from 1956 model-year. Disc wheels replace 'spider' wheels for '58.
