ROVER LIGHT SIX
4-door saloon, sportsman's saloon.
According to Michael Sedgwick, a 'lean street roddish affair', this was the Rover that raced the Blue Train from St Raphael to Calais - and won by 20 minutes! In effect it was a 2-litre on a shorter 106ins frame, available with three or four speeds and capable of 70mph. Sportsman's saloon had cycle type wings and no running boards, a longish bonnet and dumpy, well set back, two-door body. It never sold in any numbers.
