Terraplanes had now gone over to the curvaceous look, so there was an ugly waterfall grille, vee-screen ad a curved instrument panel. Hydraulic brakes were now fitted with a mechanical back-up should they fail, while '37s came with half spatted rear wheels and heavier and wider bodies.
