First Toyota sold in Britain, recognisable by its slant grille and quad headlamps. Square-dimensioned pushrod engine gives 74bhp, but engineering unspectacular - four-speed all-synchro 'box, hypoid final drive, semi-elliptic rear springs, a/c electrics. Two-speed wipers and electric washers standard for UK, also front disc brakes from '68, but only manual versions sold here.
