TOYOTA CORONA 1500

4-door 4-seater saloon/estate car.

Notable only as the first Toyota ever sold in the UK, and strictly a Cortina-type (and character) model. Sloping back nose, very ordinary specification including half-elliptic leaf springs, but all-synchromesh gearbox and front disc brakes (from 1968) redeemed it a little. Not covered then by enthusiasts - certainly not coveted now!
