TRIUMPH HERALD 13/60

2-door 4-seater saloon/estate/convertible.

Final version of four-cylinder Herald family, effectively taking over from 1200 range and 12/50 (though 1200 saloon remained). Had re-styled bonnet, different facia and seating, with enlarged 61bhp engine giving 85mph top speed. Front discs were standard, interior space was slightly enlarged, though swing-axle rear and creaky body construction remained. Compared with 12/50, though, there was no sunroof. Even so, excellent value, now agreed to be the best of the Heralds.
