Fully Vanguardised razor-edge Triumph with the Standard's box-section frame and coils at the front, although still on 108ins wheelbase. Left-hand column shift and Vanguard-type instruments, though these latter set in polished wood. Overdrive option from June 1950. Mk II (1952) has an extra 3ins of wheelbase.
