Karmann have updated the body back and front, keeping the centre section. Engine 150bhp until end '72, when detuned to 124bhp by fitting milder cam. No overdrive on second from 1973 model-year, and o/d standard from start of '74 model-year approx. Hardtop is one-piece rather than earlier Surrey type. Most cars (77,938) are US-spec with twin Strombergs; fuel-injected production stops Feb 1975.
