2-door 2-seater hatchback coupé.

Taimar was nothing more than the slightly re-styled (at the rear) 3000M, with a large lift-up hatchback, Jensen Interceptor style. Performance, economy, and two-seater passenger space identical, but external access to the luggage space at last. Weight penalty was a mere 20lbs, but the extra appeal was obvious. Only ever sold with the Ford V6 engine, so no such thing as a Taimar 2500. The direct ancestor to the hatchback Tasmin, which followed in 1980, and a fast and desirable car today.
