Longer, wider car based on '49 Chevy's styling, though unitary, of course. Pushbutton doors, coil front springing and hypoid rear axle. Short-stroke 1508cc engine (lots more urge) from April '52, recirculating ball steering for '53, new bonnet and grille for '55, slimmer pillars and wrap-round rear window for '56. New grille again and (thank goodness) electric wipers on seldom-seen '57s.
