Basic stripped Beetle with bigger 30bhp engine, vacuum ignition control and better cylinder-head cooling. Main styling/mechanical changes as for 1200 De Luxe below, but cable-operated brakes to April 1962 (!) and never synchromesh at all. Listed here to 1962, but hardly any imported.
