Daytona to hit Brooklands

| 31 Mar 2011

A well-connected Ferrari Daytona has been consigned for the Historics auction at Brooklands on 18 May. One of fewer than 160 right-hooker GTB/4s, this particular example was brought into the UK in 1973 as the Maranello Concessionaires demonstrator, but was subsequently loaned for a week to the Prince of Wales. In more recent times, this was the car that Top Gear's Richard Hammond raved about when he drove it along the Riviera, adding a decent percentage to its overall mileage of just 26,281 from new. The Ferrari's price is rather higher now than when it was sold in 1973 for £9250 and it carries an estimate of £180-210,000. For sale details call 08009 883838 or visit Historics' website.
