Mercedes leads £2.6 million Essen sale

Coys cashed in on the buoyant German market with a €2.6m sale at the annual Techno Classica show in Essen on 2 April.  Top result among the 34 lots it got away, out of the 63 on offer, was the €440,000 shelled out for a 1958 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster over the phone, followed by the €376,750 paid for a1996 Ferrari F50. Also strong was the €231,000 stumped up for a 2 ½-litre 1937 Jaguar SS100 while talk of the sale was a barn find 1967 Iso Grifo on without reserve: it made €61,000. Commanding similar attention was a 1967 Iso Rivolta that had been re-bodied as a Ferrari GTO Breadvan. It failed to shift, despite a bid of €91,000.

It's not a surprise that this Mercedes got that sale price. 1958 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster is one of the mercedes benz car that love by many car enthusiast. I think its one of the finest car by Mercedes during the last 50 years with all its cool benz parts and accessories in it. As well as the stylish look of it.
