Rare one-family MGB to sell at CarFest

| 15 Aug 2012

A special-edition 1975 MGB GT that has been owned by the same family will, says Silverstone Auctions, capture the spirit of its Pride & Joy charity auction at CarFest on 25 August.

The Jubilee is one of only 750 examples built to celebrate MG’s 50th Anniversary.

The car was handed down to the original owner’s son after being treated to a full respray. It comes with less than 80,000 miles on the clock, is taxed, has a new MoT and comes with a collection of spares.

It is expected to sell for £5500-7500.

Nick Whale, managing director at Silverstone Auctions, said: “This is the first time that this car has been offered for sale since it left the showroom some 37 years ago and not surprisingly it comes with an amazing history file outlining its story.

“Of course, we would be delighted for this car to go to another loving home but equally important is that it will be helping raise money for BBC Children in Need.”
