A 1967 Triumph TR5 was top-seller at Barons' sale at Sandown Park on 17 September.
It sold for £28k, pipping a 1996 Bentley Continental R (£25,772) and an LPG-converted 1967 Jaguar E-type S1 2+2 at £21,500.
One interesting lot was described as ‘one man’s interpretation of the ultimate MG BGT’. The immaculate 1976 V8 featured a bespoke interior, complete with Bulgari dash clock, engine-turned dash and Moto-Lita steering wheel. It may not have been to everyone's tastes, but it appealed to at least two people who bid it to a fraction under £13,000.
Bargain of the sale must have been the 'fully restored' 1979 Ferrari 308GT4 for which the hammer came down at £14,500, so, including premium, set its new owner back just £15,242.
Celebrating its 15th anniversary, the auction house reported a sale rate of 60%. Here are the top 10 results.
