Always fancied having an Aston in your garage but don’t have sufficient cash to turn the dream into reality? Then how about settling for one on the mantelpiece instead? In the form of a 1:43rd scale model, that is.
And not just one but 69 different Aston Martins. The collection of hand-built and die-cast models is being offered as a complete set by classic model specialist World Collector.
It was built up privately over the last 20 years and the hand-built models include examples by noted model-makers such as Brian Bowden, John Roberts and Tony Smith, while factory-built examples extend to Miniature Automobiles, Lansdowne Models and ABC Brianza.
More regular labels – such as Spark, Ixo and MiniChamps – feature among the diecast examples.
The collection spans 80 years of Aston production from an early 4-seater Tourer to a Lagonda 2.6 Drophead and rare DB5- and DB6- Shooting Brakes – along with a William Towns-designed Lagonda and DB3S racer.
