Latin classics steam into Swindon

| 24 Aug 2012

The Italian AutoMoto Club has rescheduled its annual autumn meeting to the Steam Museum in Swindon (SN2 2EY) on 9 September – instead of the previously announced date in Bristol on 30 September.

Vehicles will be displayed from 10am to 3pm along the front of the building and, as organiser Paul Hanmore points out: “While the museum itself and its great location are major points of interest, there is plenty more to do and see for adults and children. There is the close by designer shopping outlet, housed inside the old railway workshop buildings and retaining many of its architectural features.

“Also nearby is the National Trust’s award-willing Heelis building which will be open. There are numerous, easily accessible eating and refreshment places, including the Steam cafe.”
