Lotus clubs issue rallying cry for Elite owners

| 22 Mar 2017

The combined Historic Lotus Register and Club Elite have called on Elite owners to bring their cars out of hiding ahead of the Club Lotus Track Day at Castle Combe, which takes place on 26-27 May.

The clubs aim to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Elite’s launch at Alexandra Palace with a massive gathering of vehicles at Castle Combe. A section of the circuit’s paddock area will be turned over the to owners to form an exclusive display area, and it is hoped that a record number of cars will turn out – 10 years ago, 68 examples gathered at Silverstone.

All Elites will be welcome, whether full race versions, restoration projects or road cars, and organisers have arranged for a dinner to be held at nearby Calcot Manor prior to the trackside festivities.
