SADCASES out in force at village day

More than 100 cars from the Storrington and District Classic and Sports Car Enthusiasts – you can try to work out the acronym for yourselves – met recently to share their passion for classics.

The SADCASES as they call themselves – no, it doesn't quite work, but we like it anyway – is one of a growing number of informal clubs springing up all over the country.

There is no membership fee and no formal committee and the formula obviously works, more than 300 members having been attracted to the West Sussex group in just a couple of years.

While the SADCASES meet regularly at pubs and other venues, the big event was at the annual Storrington Village Day celebrations and enjoyed a full turn-out of classics, sports cars, vintage, kits, supercars and 'bikes.

For more info on the club visit its website here, or as the club suggests: "Better still come along and have a pint with us one evening."
