All you need to know for Goodwood

Don't miss our exclusive 14-page guide to this year's Goodwood Revival Meeting in the September issue of Classic & Sports Car.

With a preview from the boss himself, Lord March, a comprehensive timetable for the practice and racing over all three days of the glorious 16-18 September event and a feature on this year's celebrated driver, five-times world champion driver Juan Manuel Fangio, it's got everything you need to to get the most out of the world's greatest historic motor sport event.

Three of Fangio's contemporaries – Sir Stirling Moss, Tony Brooks and José Froilán González – recall Fangio the man as well as his many achievements.

There's also a detailed account of the diminutive, 500cc and F3 racers that'll take to the track for the Earl of March Trophy, while C&SC's Julian Balme pits a mighty Ford Galaxie against the home-grown Lotus Cortina in preparation for this year's 100 years of Ford in Britain feature parade.

And the spectacular action at Goodwood won't be limited to the track: this year the Revival marks 75 years of the iconic Supermarine Spitfire with 15 examples taking to the sky and we've got detailed technical insight into what makes it tick with a fabulous Autocar-style cutaway – along with flying impressions from our very own Alain de Cadanet.

All this is in addition to another raft of regular features in the issue, from a midnight tour of Berlin in an awesome Lancia Stratos to a blast over the Alps in a couple of BMW 503s and a triple test to celebrate the iconic Ferrari/Fiat Dino V6.
