Brilliant day out promised by charity supercar event

| 12 Feb 2012

Fancy being a passenger in a supercar for some hot laps around the Top Gear test track? Raising money for charity in the process? Yes? Then you need to be at The Supercar Event in Surrey on 23-24 June.

Organised by a team of volunteers in association with The Children’s Trust charity, it is now in its fourth year, having formerly been knows as Dads’ Day Out.

Visitors will be able to travel in the passenger seat of some of the world’s best supercars, tangoing from Koenigsegg, to Ferrari Enzo and 458, McLaren MP4-12C to a Ford GT40. There will be loads more classic supercars to choose from, too, as well as sideshows such as live music, fairground and hovercraft rides.

Fundraising stalwarts The Sporting Bears will be on hand, as will The Lotus 7 Club and the event will raise cash for The Children’s Trust, Tadworth.

Admission tickets cost £10 for adults and £6 for concessions for a day pass. Weekend passes cost £15 for adults and £10 for concessions. Family tickets (admitting two adults and two children aged under 16) are also available for £25 per day or £35 for the weekend. You pay for the rides on top.
