More than 80 cars and ’bikes headed to Nice on 7 July for the Belle Macchine and Cool British Classics event.

Organised by L'équipe de l'Automobile Club de Nice for British and Italian vehicles, UK cars on show covered everything from TVR Chimaeras to Jaguar E-types, Triumph TR6s and numerous Minis.

Italy was represented by models such as Alfa Romeo’s GTV, Ferrari’s Dino and Fiat’s X1/9. The latest supercars from Maranello were also on display, joined by rivals from Lamborghini and Maserati.

The event took in fabulous French countryside travelling from Nice to Pointe de Contes Escarène for lunch, climbing 1000m to Col de Braus and another 600m to Col de Turini en route.

The tour then moved on to Roquebillière, before journey’s end in Madone de Fenestre, which is 1904m above sea level in the Mercantour National Park.
