The world’s finest classic cars and historic aircraft will line up at a brand-new event set to be launched in June 2018: The Classic & Sports Car Show in association with Flywheel and Bicester Heritage.

The collaboration between Classic & Sports Car magazine and the spectacular Flywheel Festival will combine world-class cars from collectors, dealers and enthusiasts with a dazzling array of vintage aircraft, as well as incredible live demonstrations both on the ground and in the air above the historic Bicester Heritage site.

The unique event will build on the tremendous success of Flywheel, which joined the calendar in 2015, and The Classic & Sports Car Show, which drew huge crowds and more than £30m-worth of historic vehicles to Alexandra Palace in its inaugural year.

“We’re thrilled to be joining forces with one of the most exciting new events to join the classic calendar in recent years,” says Classic & Sports Car’s Group Head of Content Alastair Clements. “We look forward to welcoming readers and enthusiasts from across the UK and Europe to the fabulous Bicester Heritage for what promises to be a highlight of next summer for classic fans.”

The Classic & Sports Car Show in association with Flywheel will take place in June 2018 and will be hosted at Bicester Heritage in Oxfordshire – one of the country’s most complete and historically correct WW2 air stations, which has now become home to a thriving classic car business hub.

Haymarket Media Group, the international specialist media, technology and live events company behind C&SC, is the owner of some of the world’s most iconic motoring brands. As well as Classic & Sports Car, the event will be supported by Autocar – the world’s first and most respected car magazine – and PistonHeads - the UK’s biggest online motoring community. “This partnership has real horsepower,” said Haymarket CEO Kevin Costello. “Our track record in motoring media means we reach millions of petrolheads every month. Bicester Heritage have the idea historic setting and Historic Promotions have built something unique with their wings and wheels experience, Flywheel. Together we will create an event that will come to define the popular heritage motoring experience.”

Bicester Heritage Managing Director Daniel Geoghegan said: “Bicester Heritage has at its heart a vision to secure a robust and dynamic future for historic motoring and aviation for everyone who enjoys these vintage vehicles. Partnering with Haymarket – and building on our established relationship with Historic Promotions through Flywheel – provides a wonderful platform for us to create a new way to bring thousands of enthusiasts together in the enjoyment of historic vehicles.”
