Clifton College to host classic car show

WO Bentley's old school is expecting up to 10,000 people to attend a special classic car show being held to celebrate the college's 150th anniversary.

Clifton College in Bristol is holding the one-day Classic Car Wheeze on 20 May.

Organisers said: "Clifton College's evocative Close will be host to vintage and classic cars, motorbikes, jet engines, a hot air balloon, helicopter, hovercraft, F1 simulator and high-speed radio controlled cars.

"There will also be a special Rolls-Royce kit car building competition and champion supersonic car, Bloodhound, showing how incredible thrust capabilities help it reach 1000mph."

With representation expected from a wide range of marques, there are 200 spots available for enthusiasts to show their cars.
