Dates set for showpiece Cornish classic festival

| 31 Dec 2013

The fourth St Mawes Classic Car Festival will take place from 5-9 May 2014 with a theme of Forgotten Cornwall.

The event, which attracts an astonishing range of high-end and exotic machinery for a few days of touring, will include visits to the picturesque Mousehole, Geevor, the fabulous Landhydrock and the famous lost gardens at Heligan.

Centrepiece of the event is the St Mawes Concours d’Elegance that will be held in the village on 8 May with the festival rounded off with a dinner at St Mawes Castle, one of the best-preserved of Henry VIII's coastal artillery fortresses.

Participants in 2013 included Paul Stewart in his concours-winning Mercedes-Benz 300SL 'Gullwing' and Nick Mason’s ex-Carrera Panamericana Ferrari 250MM (main image).
