Classic car owners are being urged to join the show of strength that is Drive It Day 2012 this weekend.
Masterminded by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs, Drive It Day always falls on the nearest Sunday to 23 April. The date was chosen to commemorate the 64 cars that set-off from London on that day in 1900 on the first day of the 1000-mile trial.
As C&SC’s James Elliott says: “Drive It Day is an incredibly simple and sensible idea that does the world of good for enthusiasts, our cause and, of course, the punters who have their day brightened by seeing a load of wonderful classics.”
