Huge fun promised as classic rally heads to West Sussex

| 2 Aug 2013

The Regis Rally will return to its Aldingbourne Country Centre base on 5 October after a two-year break.

The route will pass through some stunning countryside, with special tests on private ground and a planned lunch stop at Fort Nelson, north of Portsmouth.

The rally is designed to be challenging for serious competitors, yet will still allow novices the chance to complete the full route and get a feel for the event.
Classics from Bristol, Austin-Healey, Alpine, Jensen and many more are expected to compete.

The penultimate round of the 2013 Autosessive HRCR Clubmans Rally Championship will follow the Historic Rally Car Register’s guidelines regarding navigation, but with a Regis Rally slant. The regulations will be available from the organiser’s website soon.

The entry fee is set to be less than £100, including a ploughman’s lunch and hot buffet supper for a crew of two.

The organisers also require the services of about 100 marshals, but no experience is needed because training will be given.
