Huge gathering of rare Fords expected at Beaulieu

| 5 Apr 2013

Rare classic Fords will be on show at the National Motor Museum’s Simply Ford event on 5 May.

The Beaulieu Arena will host the Blue Oval’s RS (Rally Sport) cars, which will be joined at the gathering by offerings from the Heritage Collection including Escorts, in the form of Mk2 RS and a Cosworth, plus vehicles such as a GT supercar and a Sierra Sapphire Cosworth 4x4.

Supervan 3, which is based on a C100 racer, originally featured a 650bhp F1 engine and wears an innocent-looking Transit body, will also be on display.

A number of visitors’ cars will be picked to join the Simply Ford cavalcade and will have a chance to win the People’s Choice Award.

There will also be numerous trade stands selling a wealth of Ford-related parts and accessories.

Tickets are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for children, with under-5s going free. Admission includes entry to the museum’s other attractions.
