| 16 Jun 2016

A stunning piece of artwork from globally-renowned artist Tim Layzell has been unveiled ahead of the second Classic & Sports Car Show, which returns to London’s historic Alexandra Palace from 28-30 October.

The study features a Mercedes-Benz SSK, Jaguar XKSS, Ferrari F40, Bugatti Veyron and Lamborghini Miura: just a handful of the amazing cars featured in the ‘A Century of Supercars’ shortlist, which are vying with a host of others to be named the Greatest Supercar Ever.

Experts from Classic & Sports Car have picked three leading contenders from each era/decade that enthusiasts can vote for in a huge online poll, with the finalists from each category going on display at the show, where an overall winner will be chosen.

To vote, simply go to the show’s all-new website www.classicandsportscarshow.com/supercars and pick your favourite from each group between now and 31 August.

“Once again, we are very proud to have Tim Layzell create an amazing piece of unique artwork for the show,” said Classic & Sports Car group editor, James Elliott. “His style is head-turning and totally unique. We’re all huge fans, having enjoyed seeing his incredible talent displayed at events like Pebble Beach, Monaco Grand Prix and the Goodwood Revival to name just three.

“It really sets the scene for this year’s show, combining two of the highlights, our global poll which will name the Greatest Supercar Ever and our fabulous home from 28-30 October: Alexandra Palace.”

“It’s again such an honour to produce a piece for The Classic & Sports Car Show,” said Tim Layzell. “With an incredible line-up of icons on the shortlist for the Greatest Supercar Ever and such a stunning location as Alexandra Palace, it’s been a dream to paint. Last year’s event was a real must-attend show – it’s fantastic to be a part of it again and I can’t wait to go back.”
