Italian classics – and others – turn out in force for Canadian reunion

Château Montebello, a 1930s log and stone hotel set in a wildlife sanctuary on the banks of the Ottawa River in Québec, was the venue for the inaugural Raduno Montebello on 29 September.

The event was organised by nine Italian car clubs from Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto and attracted 158 mostly Italian cars with a smattering of other European marques.

Organisers were delighted with the showing, having expected only 80 to 100 cars. Notable classics in attendance included the Monteverdi High Speed (main image),  a Ferrari 275GTB, a Citroën Traction Avant, an Alfa Giulia SS, a Ferrari Mondial reported to have once been owned by Gilles Villeneuve, and a De Tomaso Mangusta.
