Lamborghini to be honoured at Italian show

A major celebration of Lamborghini's 50th anniversary promises to bring some spectacular metal to the 31st Automotoretrò in Turin from 8-10 February.

The expanded event will take place in the Oval Hall of Lingotto Fiere as well as its three traditional pavilions, totalling nearly 60,000sq m.

The special Lamborghini exhibit is promising "some of the jewels of the Lamborghini Museum" as the centrepiece. Ferruccio Lamborghini founded the Sant'Agata Bolognese car maker in May 1963 and presented its first cars later that year at Turin.

The event takes place alongside Automotoracing and also features classics for sale, automobilia, autojumble, motorcycles, club displays and more.

In 2013 it will host its first auction of classic cars, 'bikes and automobilia, to be run by San Carlo Aste of Turin.
