Massive gathering planned as Lotus Seven Club turns 30

| 31 May 2013

More than 400 cars will help the Lotus Seven Club to celebrate its 30th anniversary at Beaulieu tomorrow.

Enthusiasts are expected to flock from as far afield as Switzerland and Germany for the club that was formed for Lotus and Caterham enthusiasts alike.

Representatives from the latter will also be in attendance to celebrate 40 years of Caterham Seven production, bringing with them one of the firm’s latest models.

Club chairman Martin Bushaway said: “We are delighted to be returning to Beaulieu, where we were founded in 1983, and to have such a large gathering of Sevens to celebrate our birthday.”

The organisation now boasts 2600 members, with more than 30 regional branches across the UK and Europe.
