More than 50 cars got the Sunbeam Talbot Alpine Register’s National Rally off to a flying start at Sherborne Castle in Dorset.

The three-day event ran from 29 June – 1 July and attracted enthusiasts from as far afield as the USA, with one entrant even driving from Stuttgart.

During day two, 100 members descended on the register’s AGM and then set off on a 30-mile drive through the countryside of Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire. They visited Stourhead and King Alfred’s Tower along the way, before tucking into a buffet.

Meanwhile, the inaugural photo competition got underway and was judged by Andrew Morland.

The final day saw more than 80 cars make up a static display including a group of Sunbeam Talbot 90 Drophead Coupes (below) and a brace of 4-Litre sidevalves (main pic.
