More than 15,000 Corvettes and 45,000 enthusiasts gathered at the Mid America Motorworks in Effingham, Illinois, for the 19th annual Corvette Funfest from 13-16 September.

A four-day event for the first time, the celebration of the Stateside legend kicked off with a Fun Road Tour with more than 400 ‘Vettes being led to the city’s Courthouse Square.

A street party was organised offering live music, beer and a twilight movie screening.

Corvette aficionados were treated to seminars, celebrity guests and a sneak preview of the latest iteration of the model – set to be launched in 2013.

Registration for next year’s event, which will mark 60 years of the Corvette, has already started. To find out more visit the meet’s website
