Wilton Classic and Supercar set for 2017 return

| 17 Nov 2016

The revamped Wilton Classic and Supercar will return to the classic calendar on 3-4 June 2017.

The event will be split into 10 sub categories, catering for visitors with tastes as diverse as early examples of motoring history through to the latest cutting-edge hybrid supercars. Organisers have so far revealed three of the events: the Wilton Wow!, Wilton 6 Nations and Wilton 100 – Concours d’Historie.

The Wilton Wow! will be a daily gathering of 150 of the world’s greatest supercars, with pre-1990 classics featuring on the Saturday and post-1990 moderns taking to the show field on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Wilton 6 Nations will focus on automotive offerings from around the globe, split into six national zones, while the Concours d’Historie brings together a diverse range of historically significant models.

“This will be by far the biggest venture I have ever started at Wilton, and is the result of 18 months’ hard work,” said Lord Pembroke. “I have held relatively low-key supercar events here for several years, mostly as fundraisers, and supercars remain central to my vision, but the all-new Wilton WCS 2017 will be something very different. We will have around 700 cars on display in a host of different features and will be telling the story of the car in completely new ways. This will be a show like nothing staged before.”

A brand-new website has been launched to accompany the announcement, where visitors can share their automotive stories alongside a crack team of automotive writers and personalities.
