Worldwide appeal for E-types to flock to central Europe

| 3 Jan 2013

E-type enthusiasts are being urged to visit E-fest as organisers bid to attract a massive international contingent on 1-2 June.

All owners, whether E-type Club members or not, are being encouraged to take part in the celebrations.

They begin with a driving day, plus a Gala Dinner on Saturday and conclude with the main event in Echternach, Luxembourg, on Sunday.

As with XK65, Luxembourg was chosen by the club’s European representatives because of its easy accessibility to the rest of the continent.

There is also the option of a seven-day tour from the UK that includes the weekend.

Club founder Philip Porter said: “We look forward to welcoming all E-type enthusiasts. I have this vision of groups of E-types from all over Europe homing in on Luxembourg for a triumphant celebration of this most iconic British sports car.”
