The Classic & Sports Car Show is open!

| 23 Jun 2018

And we're off!

The gates are open, the cars are out on track, the sun is shining and The Classic & Sports Car Show in association with Flywheel is live.

We'll be here all weekend bringing you the action as it happens – and there'll be plenty of it.

There's a packed schedule on the demonstration track, with guest of honour Derek Bell driving a 1965 short-wheelbase Porsche 911, plus legendary cars such as an Aston Martin DBR4, Jaguar D-type and Frazer Nash Norris Special all doing their thing.

The Pre-76 Club Display is already brimming with classics, a selection of which will compete for The People's Champion award and The David Evans Trophy.

Viewing for the Brightwells auction is underway, with the sale itself taking place on Sunday, while Bicester Heritage's many specialists are opening their doors to ticket-holders.

The air displays starts at 1230 today – and the sunny conditions and mostly clear skies bode well for that. Tanks are rumbling across the field, classic motorbikes are preparing to race round the Demon Drome Wall of Death and the live music performances are just about to begin.

In short, there's absolutely loads to see and do. Look out for plenty more stories over the course of the weekend.
