Gawsworth Hall's annual Classic Car Rally took place on 3 May and witnessed a range of mostly pre-WW2 machinery.
John and Stephanie Ash's '32 Delage D8S was John's first car in '57. "There have been two restorations, really," he explained. "It all started on the day I got it, trying to find where to buy spares. This time I've managed the job, but doing as much of the work as I can myself."
Best pre-war went to the superb '36 Rolls-Royce Phantom III of John and Avril Hibbert from Chapel-en-le-Frith. "We came with friends in a group of seven cars," said Avril. "That was ours when we were courting," she added, pointing to Piers Wright's S1 Land Rover.
