Stag party at Bromley

| 13 Aug 2010

Bromley Pageant of Motoring featured a new anniversaries area on 13 June, with Aston and Alfa groups marking 75th and 100th birthdays respectively.
But both couldn't outshine a 40-strong corral from the Stag Owners Club South East London Area, celebrating 40 years since the model's launch. Pride of place went to RRW 97H, the first one built and used in the early adverts.
The Elf Hornet Register landed the best larger club stand prize for its inspired centrepiece, comprising the collapsing, corroded husk of a Heinz 57 Hornet Crayford convertible flanked by a pair of minters.
An interesting rarity was Terence Humberstone's '58 Goliath 1100 Coupe, of which only 10 are known to survive.
