Liverpool revved up to preview Cholmondeley

Liverpool's Strand rocked to a thunderous display of speed and power on 25 May for its inaugural Pageant of Power.Created to preview this year's Cholmondeley Pageant of Power (which takes place in Cheshire this 17-18 July), the event saw everything from a Le Mans Jaguar to the aero-engined Napier-Bentley and a Warrior tank.Historic racer Justin Law powered the Silk Cut Jaguar XJR-8/9 around the harbour, along with 12-time TT-winner Charlie Williams on his Maxton Yamaha TZ385.Event sponsor Bentley brought its Le Mans-winning Speed 8, while a Bugatti Veyron and Ferrari Enzo also wowed the 25,000-strong crowd.There were also aerobatic and powerboat displays, and a dancing JCB digger!
