Brand-new concours planned for Le Mans Classic

| 4 Jul 2016

Classic & Sports Car is supporting a brand-new concours d’elegance masterminded by fuel company Total, which is set to take place at the historic Hotel de France during this year’s Le Mans Classic.

On Saturday 9 July, old car owners are invited to converge on the square outside the legendary hotel in Chartre-sur-le-Loir – about 30km south east of Le Mans – from 10am.

All classics are welcome, whether pristine exotica or oily-rag barn-find, and there will be plenty of overflow parking nearby. It is hoped that many of the entrants of the Reader Run, organised by Classic Grand Touring, will make the trip.

A team of judges from Total, C&SC and the hotel will pick their favourite cars across a range of classes, with the overall winner scooping a two-night stay in the hotel, a year’s subscription to C&SC and more.

Organisers plan to make the event as informal as possible, providing a venue for enthusiasts to spend a few hours away from Le Mans with like-minded folk. Participants will have plenty of time to get back to the Circuit de la Sarthe for the start of the 24-hours of racing at 4pm.
