Egan to spill the beans on his Jaguar years at annual lecture

| 16 Sep 2013

Sir John Egan, the man credited with leading Jaguar's early 1980s revival and who then shepherded the company into privatisation in 1984, is to be the keynote speaker at this year's Andrew Whyte Lecture on 24 November 24.

As Jaguar's CEO from 1980 to 1990, Egan has a unique perspective on the company and a wealth of stories about those years of independence – which included two Le Mans victories.

The event's second speaker is Ian Luckett, 37 years at Jaguar and now global product training manager at Jaguar Land Rover.

Members of the Jaguar C-X75 design team will also be there, describing how Jaguar's ground-breaking supercar evolved.

The venue for the lecture is Jaguar's Castle Bromwich Visitor Centre, from 1pm on Sunday 24 November. Advance tickets only (£15) include refreshments, and to secure them cheques made payable to JDC Area 7 Charity Fund should be sent to Bob Beecham, 1 Waterfall Cottages, Main Road, Meriden, Coventry CV7 7NL, together with an SAE (UK residents).
