Enter a US raffle and win a Ferrari 308

| 8 Aug 2013

A 1982 Ferrari 308GTSi will be this year’s prize in the International Motor Racing Research Center’s raffle, to be drawn on 7 December in Watkins Glen.

The car, which has just 1500 miles on the clock, was very generously donated to the Center by Governing Council member Greg Galdi.

The funds generated will go towards preserving the history of motor sport by gathering materials from all racing series at all tracks. Among the MRRC’s collection is the 77-year archive of National Speed Sport News.

Center president JC Argetsinger said: “We are grateful to Greg Galdi for donating this car. It’s going to make someone very happy. It’s a real eye-catcher, drawing a lot of attention whether it’s parked on the front lawn of the Center in Watkins Glen or next to one of our display tables.

“The Racing Research Center is dependent on the funding we receive from our supporters through the annual raffle of a significant car. We receive no public funding, so we’re grateful to those interested in buying a chance to win one of our cars.”

Tickets are prices at $60 – or less than £40 – and 2308 will be sold.
