C&SC has reunited an enthusiast with his old Ford special after more than 50 years. As a result Allan Davies was delighted to recreate the above photo of him in the car in 1961.
The reunion came about after C&SC published details of the car in its Lost & Found column.
New owner Neil Godwin-Stubbert was appealing for help and history after buying the 1947 Prefect-based special, which was built by David Small.
After the appeal in the magazine former owner Davies came forward and contacted Godwin-Stubbert and the pair created the photo below.
