A collection of seven muscle cars have been stolen in the USA. Six Ford Mustangs and a Chevy Impala were recently taken from a storage facility in Florida.
Since the theft, it is thought two of the cars – a 1965 Mustang shell and another Mustang – could have been spotted on the back of a truck in the Tampa, Florida area.
The owner is currently flying from Brazil to Tampa to file a police report, but in the meantime enthusiasts are being asked to look out for the cars and alert police if they see any of them.
Apologies for the quality of the pictures, but, hopefully, they will at least give an idea of the cars you need to spot.
If you can get close up, however, here are the details of the stolen vehicles:
1965 Ford Mustang Fastback – Body shell only, Light Blue, VIN 5F09C288923
1966 Ford Mustang Fastback, Red Exterior, VIN 6F09C213411
1967 Ford Mustang Fastback S-Code (390 V8), White, VIN 7R02S158487
1968 Ford Mustang Fastback S Code (390 V8), White, VIN 8F02S177558
1969 Ford Mustang Fastback (428 Cobra Jet), White, VIN 9R02R153275
1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Fastback (428 Super Cobra Jet), Red/Black, VIN To Be Confirmed
1961 Chevrolet Impala SS 409 Hardtop, Black w/ White side trim, VIN 11837B132265
As for condition, the cars vary wildly. Two of them, the 1965 and 1966 Mustangs, are described as rougher but viable project cars, the 1968 S-Code Mustang and 1969 428 Cobra Jet cars are complete but needing paint, the 1967 S-Code Fastback was quite nice and complete, the 1969 Red/Black Mustang Mach 1 428 Super Cobra Jet was show-quality and so was the very rare 1961 Chevrolet Impala SS409.
