Historic Triumph TR5 is up for sale in Cheshire

| 16 May 2013

A massive £50,000 will secure you the very first TR5 to roll off the Triumph production line in 1967.

In need of total restoration, the car is currently up for sale with marque specialist TR BITZ.

Showing 65,000 miles on the clock, the classic’s three previous owners include the current vendor and a Triumph employee.

The open-top is totally original and comes with factory fitted disc wheels and overdrive, plus interesting paperwork in the form of a handbook and build sheets.

The TR5 was the first production British sports car to be fitted with fuel injection as standard, giving it 150bhp from its straight-six.
