Historic Formula 1 returns to Silverstone in July

After several years away, the FIA Historic Formula One Championship is returning to Silverstone in the most spectacular way – supporting the British Grand Prix in July.

The grid at Silverstone from 6-8 July is expected to exceed 30 cars, including the likes of Brabham, Arrows, Shadow, March and Tyrrell alongside period cars from current teams Williams, Lotus and McLaren.

HFO Chairman Dan Collins said: “We received an invitation and of course jumped at the chance. We have been away from Silverstone for too long and to be invited to participate at the Grand Prix is just fantastic.”

Collins added: “We have supported a number of other Grand Prix in the past but have not been to the British Grand Prix for some time. Although we have drivers from all over the world competing in the HFO Championship, they all feel there is something special about the British event. I am delighted we have been given this opportunity.”
