| 1 Jun 2011

A mammoth gathering of Jaguars is planned for Shelsley Walsh this weekend to mark the 50th anniversary of the Jaguar E-type and the 60th of its grandfather, the C-type.

Star attractions will be five cars from Jaguar Heritage – including the one-off V12 XJ13 – a trio of D-types, the Lindner-Nocker E-type, which will be driven "gently" by David Franklin, and, of course, a selection of C-types.

As Shelsley says on its website: 'With the help of Shelsley Walsh main sponsors Stratstone, the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust, BMIHT Gaydon, the Jaguar Drivers' Club, the Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club, the E-type and XK120 Clubs and local Jaguar expert and author Phillip Porter, we will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the E-type and the 60th anniversary of the C-type. Other Jaguar clubs involved are expected to be XJS Club. and the XK8/XKR Enthusiasts' Club.'
