Jaguar put its heritage on show at Eifel Klassik

| 6 Jun 2012

A fantastic S2 E-type is just one of the Jaguars that is set to star at this year’s Eifel Klassik, which takes place from 7-8 June.

It will be joined by a trio of ex-Royal household vehicles including a MkVII and an S1 XJ12 that were used by the Queen Mother, plus an XJ-S formerly run by Lady Diana. Reinforcing Jaguar’s presence will be an XK150 and an XK120, the latter having just returned from competing on the Mille Miglia.

A wide range of classics is expected to attend the Eifel Klassik, which takes place around the Eifel region of Germany and starts at Jaguar’s Nürburgring Test Centre, before embarking on the public roads and the 700km that make up the three-day road rally.

The event is just one entry in a busy historical motoring calendar for the company, which has already competed at the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique, and is to feature at the Pebble Beach Concours as well as the Nürburgring Oldtimer Grand Prix.
